Oil Light
So I am driving today and I get a warning light that oil is dangerously low and to add a quart ASAP. I immediately goto the dealer and they want to charge me $17 for a quart of oil. WTF!
I finally made such a stink the service manager agreed to do it at no charge. Ridiculous! The car has less then 4k on the clock. |

That's odd. The ultimate service is supposed to include oil.

+1, in fact many SAs will give you an extra quart to keep in your trunk when you go in for an oil change to cover this exact issue. How odd.

That's very odd for them to charge you. I had the same thing happen this week with only 600 miles on the clock. Stopped by the dealer and they topped it off and gave me 2 free quarts to top it off myself if needed.

Ultimate Service does not cover topping up oil. Dealers do not get reimbursed for that oil but most dealers will do it free of charge.

In Canada, I got mine topped up for free (thus far, couple of times already). My Service Advisor said the customer does not pay and the oil cost is charged back to BMW Canada as part of warranty. I do have to sign the work order for each top up.
