The new 2014 E63 AMG is not just a facelift. It will be AWD, which the W212 E63 AMG isn't (a RWD version will still be available in Europe I believe) and a significant bump in HP.

I have had this a few times with different cars.

My view on it is this (mine is on order so not the most objective opinion lol)
Most people don't even know what an M5 is let alone the small difference between a facelift and non facelift. Obviously that tech changes can make a difference but cosmetic stuff tends to be very subtle. I would get my order in, obviously the longer the thread goes on the closer you are so it does get to a point where you might aswell hold on.

When I mentioned W212 I was referring to the chassis. The 2014 E63AMG will have the same chassis, thus it is a life cycle impulse change to prolong the sales of the W212. I appologize if my comment may have caused any confusion.

I'm waiting as well, but if you may be moved by MY13 pricing, take a look around. You may be shocked. I was.

If you were only talking about the chassis, what do the front bumper, headlights, and hood have to do with it? Outside of those changes, everything else is not identical. Your post wasn't simply confusing; it was wrong.

No one is claiming that it's a new chassis or is denying that this is anything more than an LCI. However, not all LCIs are created equal. It's a pretty comprehensive update down to the AWD, power, interior, and removal of the flared rear wheel arches. I love the F10 M5, but I'd be lying if I didn't say that the 2014 E63 didn't interest me very much.

the truth is, cars will always get better and better, it is impossible for you to wait and buy a perfect car, because they always improve themselves, maybe next year the m5 will have 610hps, would you like to wait until next year?

I disagree with your broad statement - we know there are definitive changes coming on a set date - and the original question is whether the changes are worth waiting for. I am waiting, but if I do get a deal on a 2013 that I could not walk away from, I would do it. But right now, most of the Chicago dealers are offering only about 2k off MSRP, so it's just not worth my while.
If I was in a position to buy at launch last year, I would have and the LCI would have been a moot point to me, but since we are a few months away from the LCI, I chose to wait.

In the last couple of LCIs (E39 and E60), M5 colors and wheels have not been changed.

I remember them doing this when the e46 M3 was facelifted (just rear LEDs). They removed two exterior colors and added two.

In the spirit of problem solving, I suggest trying 2 things:
1) Eating a lot more burgers
2) Buying a fat suit

I agree about being annoyed on the misleading advertising, but like Dave I prefer the M5 seats with non adjustable bolsters than the M6 seats with adjustable bolsters.
LOL. Those are a couple options Wonder if I can get a BMW fat suit, paid for by BMW!
