Help from someone living near Syracuse, NY with an eBay seller.
There's an eBay seller "bmwlider" who I'm trying to coordinate buying a set of used M5 headers and maybe even the turbos. I've messaged with him on my asking price, and while he's agreed, he's a bit suspicious...talking about needing a pallet just for headers (leads me to believe he doesn't know what he's talking about considering their size), broken English or just really bad grammar and talking about money orders or cashiers checks after I suggested creating a new eBay listing just for the parts I need. Guy has three seperate engines listed, all below average retail and zero feedback. Nevertheless if someone has the time and inclination to help, I'd love someone else local to write him, see about meeting in person if he's real and helping coordinate shipping the headers at minimum, but ultimately I'd like the turbos and all oil & water feed lines to the turbos as well for installation on an X5M.

buyer beware! You are doing the right thing asking for someone to check him out and possibly help with the purchase James.
Have to got his address and contact details- you could then find a local (to him) gagage that could take delievery and facilitate payment on reciept of goods for you then ship the items to you for a fee. |

It's a scam .. All you have to say is cashiers check or money orders for me to know. He has no reputation and this seem sketchy. Definitely do it in person but I doubt anyone would take the risk. Just my opinion.

I got the impression he was shady from the get go, but I'm still hoping someone local will write him and see where it goes. I missed out on a set of headers a while ago and haven't been able to find any since...nothing on eBay or www.car-part.com so far yet I keep reading about totalled cars and they're going somewhere.
