Very disappointed. Could've been much better. Looks too much like an m-sport. F10 M5 began development under Dr. Segler's predecessor, so doesn't have the Air curtain stylings he brought to the 1M. I'm sure we'll see it on the M6.

Yeah, but the point is those wheels were unique to the E60 M5. Why would BMW launch the F10 M5 with Style 303Ms, which are shared with the F10 M-Sport and F01 M-Sport? What M-car has ever shared wheels with a non-M car from the factory?

wow that's just an msport with a different rear diffuser and an exaggerated m3 style front bumper... no uniqueness at all! and the side grills look kind of like range rover sport side grills... They could have made this so much more beautiful and muscular, but they failed.

///M division is just going down the drain imo

the wheels look like M6, i think this M5 will take a little longer then normal to grow on me.

While I somewhat agree with you that the styling is similar to the M Sport package, that's exactly how the E60 M5 was as well - nearly identical to the M Sport on standard series cars. Only the M3 gets the muscular treatment. The M5 is supposed to be subtle in its styling.

Hideous. Imagine one 7/8th scale with two less cylinders and you have the next M3. I do like the wheels however, but not in black.

the first one is an E39 M-Sport
the second one is an E39 M5.

What the external difference? A bar in the middle of the air intake, mirrors and wheels.

You are with the wrong brand if you think BMW M is about how the car looks. What a joke.

I can't decide which looks worse, the side gills or the diffuser. With it looks being disappointing and the exhaust note (most likely) being subpar, this thing better do a lightning fast ring time or something.

Mmmmm........sorry I think this It Looks like a cheap 520-M-Sport with 4 exhausts, needs to look a lot better than this if BMW want to beat Audi and Merc for sales and records.

Have to say I agree. The front looks pretty good but the rear just doesn't quite do it for me.

Now that I see the side grilles.. I cant unsee them They remind me of something on an American car, like a Cadillac Escalade.

I think BMW M team screw up on this M5. Seem like they are not sure where to draw the lines.

So what does sets this apart from the 550 other than the added performance which can not be tapped in the states?

I completely agree with most everything here.

I'm not crazy about it. Should be much more agressive. I'm sure the engine wil be a beast, torque will be there, mechanically it will be an amazingly sound car with a ton of power. Without a doubt.

But it's going to be a fat monster of a car any which way we look at it. Probably pushing 4,500+ pounds.

The front air dam is very M3-esque. The rear doesn't look that great, I think the 550i M-Sport has a nicer rear with the rectangular blacked out tips and the rear M-Sport bumper.

The side skirts are boring, the hood is boring, the side vent is a bigger version of ours, the mirrors suck, the rear diffusor doesn't look good at all, car is very unemotional.

I'm not sure how much the production M5 will change from this concept but I'm just not crazy about it, I don't even like it.

The E39, E60, and E90/E92 cars all look much nicer than this Concept M5.

Hoping they make some changes.
