Msport/M5 side skirts the same?

hey fellow members! i'm in the middle of ordering the M5 3d style carbon fiber side skirt extensions and the vendors are telling me i need to have the M5 side skirts. i know it's been covered before but at that time members agreed that the skirts for both models are the same. now i'm getting conflicting answers. can you guys please chime in and confirm that there is a difference between the two? i would greatly appreciate it!

here's the Msport skirt with the extension on:

here's the M5 with the extension on:

i mean, looks the same to me

Id love to get these as well, but they seem so expensive for what they are!

Can I begin by saying I'm not 100%, but I think yes they are different.

On the M5 the rear quarter is different, thus the out curve on the M5 bottom sill is greater than that of the M sport to connect to the rear quarter.

Look closely at the pics, it kind of indicates what I've said.

That's the part that several members have pointed out aesthetics wise but confirmed that if you pull up the part #'s from the dealership both the M5/Msport have the same part #'s. Wish we had pictures to confirm the differences. Maybe you can take a picture of your skirt and see?

Just got confirmation from a fellow member here that he was able to transfer his skirt extensions from his F10 Msport to his new M5 with no issues so they are the same

Did you end up getting the side skirt? Exactly the ones on the pic?

I've been talking to Dinnman about side skirts for the f10. We should set up a group buy. He's making something new. But it's not his priority because he thinks no one is interested. I don't think it would take more than 5 people to get him started. The ones for my e60 are spot on. Check out the ones for the e60 on his site the blue one with the hre's is my car.

This is a crazy coincedence. Its 2am and I am sitting here feeding my 13 day old son. As I am doing this, i am going through the design and development process in my head for some new sideskirts. I have the equipment in my office and access to pretty much everything i need to get them done.

Dinman has always been my favorite of all. I was planning to do something similar yet different (thinner, low profile, less flash).

If Dinman sets up a group buy, i would definitely be interested. I just cant fathom the idea of $1000+ dollars for side skirts. I can probably do a pair of custom sideskirts for about 200 dollars (my cost). Labor is cheap down here and I can 3d design, render and produce easily down here. (Dominican Republic)

If Dinman agrees to a decent price on a group buy. I might be interested.

Subscribed.
