I just put M- PSS on front and M-Pilot Cup 2 on back and now the car launches! last night the air was cold (50degrees) and even the MC2's spun a little but nothing as bad as the Pirelli's. I got the 305 MSC2's as a compromise between MPSS and R888's since it's my DD and those MSC2's come stock on Lambo and AMG GT's (I need to be able to drive on wet road).
my wife's CLS AMG came with Pirelli's P Zero's too,,, they were also terrible.. I switched to Conti's (1 size up) and had much better grip
I run Conti's on my E60 M5. Leaps and bounds better than pireli.

Curious to know since I recently got some and the difference coming from MPSS traction wise is night and day. Congrats on your tune, I've been going back and forth trying to decide on JB4 or flash myself.
Rain for one. Thread life secondly.
Go flash and be done with it.

I was daily driving a 750hp Supra on drag radials.... the tread goes away (quickly) without you realizing it and then one day when the road is wet,,, the car decides to do a pirouette while going just 40mph on a straight road.... those R888's look too much like those drag radials to me.

as a side note,,, I'm loving my set up and amazingly the Pilot Sport Cup 2's are not loud.... I was afraid that I would have "loud" tires... but this set up is better than the Pirelli's in the noise department.
Yes. Had similar experiences in rain coming home from the track. You daily drags you're asking for it IMHO.
