So I just got a call from my Service Advisor related a steering wheel vibration I posted about here: http://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1360005

My SA says the need to unplug my Bluetooth ODB reader, which I'm fine with, and that "there are numerous BMW service bulletins" that claim that these types of readers (including ones used by insurance companies for safe driving discounts) cause interference with onboard systems.

Can anyone confirm or deny this? They *think* my vibration may be due to the EDC or power steering (still unsure), but they want to obviously eliminate this as a possible cause.

The electrical engineering degree I have understands that these devices obviously transmit and that there could always be chance of interference but I'm also pretty damn sure it ain't the cause.

Highly unlikely.

But I'm sure the dealership wants to just make sure.
