Ceramic Coating Advice
I am looking to pickup either AMS or ER catless downpipes and need advice if I should get them ceramic coated. Since it is roughly $200 I was leaning towards having it done but figured I should ask the experts.
Thanks for any advice |

ceramic coating
When it comes to ceramic coating, this stuff is great.
Had my downpipes, turbo exhaust housing, and tonnes of really hot pieces done on my Supra years back. It looked great for years, easy to clean, could not chip it, no downsides to it whatsoever, never mind the heat shielding. The only thing was that the exhaust turbo housing, became dullish white shade after 4 years, but still no chipping or serious flaws. Good Choice ! |

I had my aftermarket Catless Headers coated by Jet Hot for my old E60 M5 back in the day. I had gotten the best coating option but after taking the headers off after only a few months of use, the coating was chipping off because the temperatures from the V10 were so crazy. Those were the days.

I have seen some imitations of ceramic coating, but nothing really worked as good as the stuff I have had.
My coating would not chip at all, you could hit is with a hummer and it would just stretch, bend, deform but would not come off. The best stuff ever. |
