For anyone who is willing to pay a little more to simplify the process april1 will send out a cable and a usb drive with the software and data files. I think it was $50-75 for everything. He's on bimmerfest, and he's the second post on the above posted thread.

This is the best way to go IMO. Downloading is not hard, but you are talking about 25GB of downloaded data so it takes a while even with a fast connection.

Yeah with my connection it was pretty quick. Took 3-4 hours.
