Shift Paddles

Has anyone worked out whether the shift paddles on the M6 will fit the M5 ?

The paddles on the M6 look much better that those on the M5 at least in terms of size and ease of use.

I doubt it since the M6 uses a different steering wheel design

I am planning to order the entire M6 steering wheel to replace the truck-like wheel on my M5 once the M6 arrives. I will try out the paddle feel first of course. I will then experiment with the M5 wheel to see if i could swap the M5 paddle's inner mechanism over to the M3 as i hate the stiff paddle feel of the M3. The 2 sets of paddles are not compatible, but the inner mechanism i will have to find out myself. Nobody seems to be complaining about the paddle feel in the M3...

I would be interested to see what you find out. I used to love the paddle feel in the M3 but in the M5 (which I pick up tomorrow) (but which I have also driven a reasonable amount) it feels too much like the 535 I just got rid of. Too small and not differentiated enough from the other parts of the wheel.

Anyway, I will be very interested to hear the results of your research !

U are gonna have to wait a while cos i can only start messing around after the M6 wheel comes in and assuming that it's compatible with the M5's.
