Talking M5 JB4 + BCM Pump Gas Dyno Runs

Terry from Burger Tuning did a few dyno runs with his M5 JB4 + BCM. Fuel used is equivalent to 93
Stock map (15 psi) vs map 1 (19psi) vs map 2 (23 psi)

As it has been shown before, fueling becomes a problem on these cars with high boost targets ( over 22 psi). Terry said he will lower map 2 boost targets to avoid the fueling issue. Map 1 with 19 psi is suitable for 91 octane in warm weather areas

As most know 5th is the 1:1 gear and results in higher HP on the dyno. But with the 155mph speed limiter doesn't let you rev past ~6200rpm.

Mod list:
2015 M5 DCT, JB4+BCM, BMS Intake, 93 octane

stock vs map 1

stock vs map 2 4th gear

stock versus map 2 5th gear

Just to confirm the fueling problem is the lack of the fuel pump being able to supply enough fuel, or is it injectors? Surely it can't be too hard to work around this problem?

I'm not really the expert on s63tu tuning so you might be best served asking BMS directly on N54tech

Map 0: JB4 disabled
Map 1: 19psi peak. Suggested for everyone not running a BCM to start.
Map 2: 22psi peak. BCM required.
Map 3: 18psi peak
Map 4: Stock map w/ CANbus enabled
Map 5: Not used
Map 6: Custom target map
Map 7: 25psi peak (e.g. race gas, BCM required)
Map 8: Progressive meth map. Peak boost based on meth additive. 0 = 19psi, 75 = 28psi. BCM suggested.

I just finish installing stage 2 and BCM , I also installed IPE Exhaust.... current mod... ams down pipes and msr intake...
Either the jb4 map2 or the exhaust made the car very responsive no lag what so ever... I did have the jb stage 1 with the down pipes and mrs intake for at least 6 month and it just didn't feel the same....
can wait for race full and map 7 ...meth arrived yesturday but will wait for msr charge pipe before installing... then dyno or I may dyno now and after meth....

I have an F10 M5 Stage 1, Kn filters and Axle back, my wife car and my ride is an M6 Grancoupe with Stage 2 Burger, MSR Intake ( love that sound) and axle back mufflers, big difference between those 2, no lag in the M6, more intake sound maybe due to more boost?? Will install Boost control today, waiting for my downpipes

How long do you think the DCT clutches will last with this power level?

The power looks great! How come with the tune the power curves are not as smooth as stock?
Did the test car have downpipes? I did not see them in the list of mods.
Do you have the a/f graphs with the runs?

Do you have logs of this? Running 22psi on a flash pushes much more power Logs will show that

22 psi is 22 psi flash or piggy. It is the same exact power considering all other things are equal ( fuel, ignition, etc...)

Timing on piggy vs flash will not be the same on pumpgas, look at M4 and M5 logs. They never even reach 10 degrees, I had this in my car (nice product btw) removed it, flashed my car to 21-22PSI, what a difference Also, the JB4s don't come cheap anymore as compared to the N54

So you are saying timing will automatically change on piggy vs flash even if boost and everything else is the same?

But you can't compare it to a flash, that is what I'm saying.. Running JB4+BCM on top of a flash or using a flash to change AFR, timing etc and JB4 for boost control works too, but you're only raising boost nothing else... These cars run 14+ timing stock, you won't hit that with a piggy I'm afraid. I got logs of this if you like
Now you are derailing the conversation to piggy vs flash. This thread was not about that.
You said in your first reply Running 22psi on a flash pushes much more power Logs will show that

Thats not correct. If everything else is not changed running 22 psi on a piggy or flash is exactly the same.

Of course flash can do a much better job controlling timing but this is a completely different conversation on piggy vs flash and the advantages and disadvantages of each method

Just look at evolve, downpipe and software he is putting down serious numbers 100-200 kmh and 60-130 mph, I haven't seen anyone do that with piggy only, same mods
@[
This is not about which method gets you more power. There are a ton of threads on flash vs piggy that discusses that.
This is about your statement saying 22 psi will give you more power on a flash than piggy without manually changing timing.

I took both cars to the PR 1/2 mile last 11-14-15 all runs at over 90F!
M5 150.54mph with my kid as driver (20 runs!!!!)
M6 161.63 100octane new downpipes, Stage 2, Boost Control, MSR intakes and Megan Racing axle back. I took 4 runs, 1st with all Sport plus, Traction control off in automatic, all was doing well up to 5, ~150mph, drivetrain failure message, car just stop delivering power pass the line 137!!!. Run # 2 Map 7 manual driving MDM no problems shifting just below 7000rpm, 161.63!
Run #3 Map 7 w/o traction control..at 150 the car just paused so 147mph???
Run #4 same as #2 went a little bit higher on the rpm, in 5th gear as I reached 150 a pause, like when the traction control just intervene? Dont know but probably is a safeguard due to the high torque..I beat a ferrari F12, 4 Ferrari Speziale, 1 Aventador, Multiple Porsche TT and all the Hellcats...it was a nice day
