BMW have pushed this "limited edition" packaging on the F10 M5 a little too much IMO.
I dont think these new limited editions have been fair on those consumers of the 30 Jahre. Now we have the Pure Metal Edition and now the new Competition Edition..

Given remaps go way past these numbers, I think its become clear that the value of the higher hp numbers are not worth $1,000 per horse power..

It's about time.
Time to get rid of leftover inventory before new model comes out. Yay.

is this a serious question? have you sen the msrp?
I mean I don't post just to waste space on the wall, so yes I was being curious. And no in all honesty I've never priced one out.

You mention the MSRP, so I'm assuming its astronomical, but there are always more variables as to why a particular vehicle may not sell not just due to the price.

A Cayman is way cheaper then a 911 yet it sits on the lots 3 times longer and price has no bearing there.
Also talked to my friend who works at BMW and he told me F83 M4 is stagnant as well. Especially the one they ordered YMB. He said no one likes the verts this generation and the hottest M car is the M3 and then the M2. The vert sat on his lot for 3-4 months. And the MSRP is not nearly like an M6. I imagine the M6 is somewhere in the 130k range I don't know.

The problem is not just price, but price bracket, and type of car. In that bracket, you start getting close to Bentley's, lambos, Aston Martins, etc.

The M6 CE would be like the Cayman for the people shopping in the 160 to 200K price range.

Totally agree especially from that perspective. When you thrown in a Lambo in that mix and someone wants the flashy attention a BMW will indeed sit I that lot for ever at that price point.

I think there's something for everyone in every category though. Many would still choose the M6, I'm not saying I would of given a choice but...

I'd also admit to choose a GT4 Cayman over any other Porsche except the wholy Grail GT3 but even with that I'd want a manual so back to the GT4 id go.

But yeah no doubt what you said, holds so true. That's a tough crown for that M car to be in for sure.

This model is pushing 5 years running they better cut the price big time. They have captured full production price years ago. 30% margin on this car at MSRP ....

You will be able to buy them at MSRP or below. Plenty of stand up dealerships that have policies to not mark up above MSRP.
130 is a great deal if it comes loaded, including CCB's and 10k individual paint, M Perf Exhaust, and all the carbon options.

OK this is getting ridiculous. I guess BMW's just trying to milk as much $$$ as they can as the F10 platform sunsets.

Let's see if the pure edition starts selling for 300 k
like the Jahre did. I'd wait a year a search one out for 100 if it doesn't
