I have the 601M wheels (bottom picture). I like them, but certainly feel the 343M wheels are also an excellent choice. I do not like black wheels, however.

^^+1 thats what gets my vote from those three.
Although I must say that the 601's look better in person then they do photographed.

My tuppence worth...
The 343M in black (the OEM version is not gloss black) look the most aggressive (and stand out) and would suit AW, SG, frozen colours, etc, but IMO, would look out of place with some of the softer colours such as SSII, Moonstone, etc. The only issue I have with these is the tyre valve which is silver finished & really stands out when close up. The 601Ms look the most modern and the darker paint on the barrels highlights the spokes more. Dish is less aggressive than 343s. Some say they are not forged, however, UK price list suggests otherwise. These will usually exemplify selection of Competition Package and should be easier to clean insomuch as the spokes are not 'twinned'. Std 343Ms likely to draw the least attention (somewhat due to familiarity). Last edited by Dionysus; 12-30-2013 at 02:19 PM.. |

601s are heavier than 343s by a not small amount, 5.5/6.5 pounds from what I remember...that's a decent bit of weight. Also, potentially not forged..but they do look nice. Although I still think the silver 343s look the best.

I have the 601s as a winter set.
I have to say they look way better IRL, especially on a dark car (mine is Azurite). They're non-forged which is a shame. Black 343s ftw, but only on AW (check McRae's ride ). You can't go wrong with silver 343s on any M5.
