Easy peasy.
Agree. Same route I took.

Oh, does it make it louder as if I bought aftermarket downpipes?

I don't - they're still sitting on my work bench in the garage. I can't believe they would sound any different than any other catless downpipe.

Mine will be coupled up with my AWE Touring exhaust. One day I'll get around to getting them in. lol

It sounds the same as any other downpipes. I will get a sound clip but I have Eisenmann race exhaust also so mine is pretty loud. Turbo spool noise is awesome.

I've done the OEM gutted downpipes on the M6 and have ESS dps on the M5 and same net effect. Both cars have aftermarket exhausts. Obviously fitment was better with the OEM. Here's some sound clips.

I have a tune so no CEL. I like it loud so it is perfect for me. I had the Eisenmann race exhaust to start with resonator delete but I wanted it a little louder. I love the sound of catless but understand why most keep stock exhaust with catless. I only put about 6k miles per year so it doesn't bother me. It would probably get old if I had to daily it and had a long commute.

The drone gave me the fattest headaches but you're completely right the sound is intoxicating but I don't have a tune and the cel was driving me crazy smh

Are "high flow" catted down pipes a gimmick? Any tangible gain in sound? Is the benefit from using catted that I won't get the gas smell? Is waste gate rattling still a thing?

I would say so. The stock cats can handle more horsepower than the clutches. I went catless for sound more than for power. Catted dp's are insanely priced...you can install small cats down the exhaust system for much cheaper.

Just my opinion.
