MDM
Sooooo..... MDM nearly landed me in a ditch.
Beware, it says MDM allows more slip.... more like A TON MORE SLIP! I ended up seeing the tail in front of me almost, before I was able to fight it back into control and let the car fly down the road. First time I actually felt scared that I had almost no traction. |

Uh huh! As @nugent said, welcome to the M5. Glad everything turned out OK.
Absolutely need to practice car control basics with MDM on. If you hammer it with the wheel turned, get ready, the back is coming around. The M engineers call this "drift mode", car thinks you want to slide and it will keep coming around until you take action. And I agree if your tires are cold be careful.

But on track in Austin, in MDM mode, I did happen to hang the tail out a few times and maintain control. |
