The standard TT, sure, but car guys know the TTRS isn't your garden variety TT, it's an RS performance motorsports model

I owned a GS and it was great! Magnetic ride is great. Research Ron Fellows Driving School if you buy new too. $1000 for new owners.

I have even considered adding a GT350 as an option too,but am a little hesitant because of its weight.
I already have the F80, I don't want another porker. I don't want to feel the weight fighting against you in the curves.

I wouldn't be happy with anything less power wise than a GT4, and even then that's borderline for the price. IMO, unless you get into the GT cars, Porsche is too expensive for what you get.

You sound like a person that has not driven a Porsche but reads stuff online. First time I drove a cayman GTS I was blown away by how awesome it was. Ended up buying a 991S. Worth every penny. And it’s worth about $10k more now than when I bought it two years ago.

Remember that Chevrolet benchmarks the 911, not the Cayman. The Porsche interior is slightly nicer, but the Corvette is no longer a slouch. I really really really like the TTS interior, it’s better than either the Corvette or Porsche. When you sit in it, it looks and feels like something much more expensive. The drive is just more sterile and slightly numb though. The Golf R is actually more fun to drive despite sharing the same platform and drivetrain. |

It’s interesting that Ford upped the weight when Chevy increased theirs and now Chevy shaved a bunch of weight off. As for the Camaro and Mustangs, they still all of the interior the 4cyl versions have. IMO, if you’re going to spend that kind of money, I’d go Corvette, Porsche, Audi etc.

Buying CPO Porsche helps with the price. And since they are very reliable and typically more likely to be dealer serviced, you should have fewer worries buying used. But part of why Porsche can be so expensive is because they are fairly bespoke if you order new.

Also I would buy an RS3 over a TTRS but that's just me.
Used 911 Turbo? Trying to think of things that are in that pricepoint with at least 400hp and also relatively small. |

Is it perfect? Of course not, but I'd ask anyone to try and remove their bias when comparing the cars, there's miles of plastic in a 4 or M4, sometimes people tend to "tunnel vision" on the inlaid wood in one spot and forget they are surrounded by plastic, the interior is definitely a step up on the Camaro and the one I have is not like the 4cyl I rented a while back.

The 2.0t is a bit lazy until you push it.

Apparently it's great with a flash to wake it up but stock it felt like driving a corolla, the salesman was hyping it up and asking me how great it felt to drive - and I was asking him what the dealer policy on flash tunes was.
I'm tempted to swap my car for the RS3, 10.55 1/4 mile with just a tune. Kills me to know the B58 would be able to hang with that if BMW hadn't locked up the DME so tightly |

People try to use that as a negative, but I had the S4 as well and my old TTRS was just as great in the AWD department as the S4 which used the trademark "Quattro" system.

My main dilemma is trying to decide which is more important, 3.2ish 0-60 with a tune in the TTRS and just average handling at the limit OR 1.2g capable, stellar handling car with only RWD traction and a lessor interior.
