Airflow from the OEM filters has probably dried off the residual oil on the MAFs, at least to a level that is no longer throwing the CEL. With the BMC filters in place, there probably was a continual deposition of oil making it onto the MAFs, hence the CEL.

I was just at my dealer and I asked about any updates and they said there was nothing. I am very curious about your Transmission inquiry. I have noticed that sometimes I will hit the paddle or shifter twice for 2 gears down it only goes down one. Another issue I have occasionally is I will want to downshift and it will either want 1 gear down or 2, and there is a 1 second delay or so before the tranny reacts. Are you or anyone experiencing this?

No. I haven't experienced this personally but it sounds to a certain degree like typical DCT behavior in general. My query was about gear changes between 2nd and 3rd. They were sometimes abrupt and not as smooth as I would expect from DCT.

I have an early M5 so updates for my car might not apply to yours. I haven't brought it in for anything since taking delivery. I asked about getting an oil change but the price was kind of ridiculous so I did it privately for far less.

Okay...My car was built in August I believe. Oil changes should be included unless you want to do it earlier. I used to pay $225 for my E60 M5

Right. I did it at 5,000 miles, which isn't covered.

I admire that. I was doing it every 7500 on my E60
