Hey guys, it's been a while since I've posted but it looks like it was a short two year trip over to the dark side (AMG). I'm happy to announce that as of today, I am officially back with Bimmer Post!!!! What do you guys think?

I've had Klassens on my E60 M5 as well as my E63 AMG. I just spoke with Frank
last night and he's got something in the works for me. We'll see what he has in store

thanks Rob the FG 6 Series just got in at Shelly BMW within a few weeks.

First off welcome back to the family. Second can you provide a comparison between the AMG and the M? I am looking at replacing the E92 with either a CLS63 or M6.

Thank you! So far I only have 70 miles on the M5 but so far the biggest thing that stands out is the transmission. I absolutely love the dual clutch, it's night and day compared to the AMG trans!!!! The AMG Mutli-Clutch has a slight lag between shifts whereas the M keeps pulling like no other!!! I've driven the TT AMGs and they definitely feel slower. The suspension on the M5 is much more aggressive than the AMG. IMO the AMGs are more of a straight line performance vehicle and the Ms are more track oriented.

The drivability of the M5 when it is in non-M mode is much improved compared to the SMG E60 M5! The E60 M5 was a great car when driven at WOT but in traffic or local streets, it lagged quite a bit. I haven't had much driving time behind the wheel but once she's broken in I'll be sure to post a more in depth review.

Nice to meet you too man! I'm Arnold. I actually live in Newport but I grew up in La Habra, so I'm always hanging around there. I was just browsing the forum and I recognized your car, what a small world. Are you going to the LTBMW meet that is coming up on the 15th?
