Cracking the ECU Code

Seems like the tuners are having a tough time coming up with an ECU upgrade

Car has been out for over a year, if you count the EU, and the software upgrades are few and far between. Nothing really proven yet. Disappointing.

Once the US market gets more saturated you will see OBDII updates occurring... I hear there are a few beta testers occurring already. Its only been about 5 months out stateside right?

Isnt the US market more prevalent in the tuning industry for such cars than across the pond?

We're gonna have to have a lot of patience. IND is starting a project where they are seriously going to analyze the potential of the S63tu.

I probably will wait at least another year before I even think about tuning my M5. That's what I did with my E60 M5. I owned it for a year before putting my first mod on it.

I wonder why some tuners (out of the US) say they have a ecu program, but 99.9% of the americans have left it alone. I hope that they can develope a badazz program that puts out the real power of the M5.

I was in at Goodspeed Performance the other day. They said the new ECU is fiberoptic, and that's why it's a much harder time to crack. They said ESS should have tune by end of January.
