so....do Uber/Lyft drivers think they're better than those who drive for a taxi company? That's like saying you're a club security instead of a "bouncer". lol

While I cannot speak for other rideshare drivers, I feel that I am better than a cab driver because:

A. My car is cleaner and I’m polite
2. My driving skills match up with Alex Zanardi
D. I speak English

Also, you don't talk on your mobile phone in a foreign language during the ride, you are polite and your vehicle doesn't reek of empty tuna cans.

Out of respect and for great customer service I stay off my phone when I have passengers. Some Uber drivers I’ve had actually answered and had convos. I’m like ok.

That reminds me of the movie "stripes". When Bill Murray tells his fare that he shouldnt've drank so much cough syrup and started weaving around.

So there actually is someone else in the world who would get the reference whenever I state "I shouldn't have drank all that cough syrup this morning"?

So how true are all those YouTube videos of being picked up in an exotic car for Uber?

I'm considering doing this part-time with my i3 I recently bought, but let's say one day I want to pick someone up in the i8.

Are they likely to report it? Low star me? Should I just not do it?

I took the time to read this whole thread, and it's convinced that it's something I'd enjoy doing part time when not traveling.

Also what kind of dress is appropriate? When Uber drivers have picked me up I've had everything from shorts/flip flops to shirt and tie.

I was thinking of gym gear ie- Nike fitted joggers, long sleeve thermal/fitted hoodie/AirMax shoes

I believe I’ve mentioned all ‘sticky’ situations, however, I get really uncomfy at times whenever I do Uber Pool/Lyft Line when passengers hit on other passengers. I roll my eyes and can’t believe how badly they all fail.

IMHO they are staged. Uber/Lyft policy is that the vehicle has to be a true 4 door. That Vehicle Virgins guy on YouTube picked up two chicks in his Lambo but if that were true, Uber would have deactivated him by finding out.

Minor update:

Yesterday picked up this chick (maybe early/mid 20’s) who was with I would assume her brother around the same age. The guy had a container with food so I assumed he would have asked if he could eat in the car as every passenger who took food in my car always asked. Nope, didn’t bother asking me so because I want those 5 stars I’ll let it slide. Not even 5 seconds into the ride:

Guy: gimme your charger
Me: yeah sure

Add 27 seconds later:

Guy: yo you gotta napkin
Me: yes, give me a second.
Me saying to myself: 1 Star this motherfucker

At the end of the ride this punk had the audacity:

Guy: this is my charger right?
Me: no pal, it’s mine.
Guy: ok

Immediately gave 1 Star.

This was a Lyft ride and for some reason my Lyft rating is rather low at a 4.80 while my Uber rating is a 4.96, therefore, I was more lenient in not bitching to this guy as I need my Lyft rating getting a boost.

I wear whatever I want.

Shorts/T-shirt
Pants/T-shirt
Shorts/collared shirt
Pants/collard shirt

Always sneakers for me to be comfy.

IMHO no point in wearing a suit/tie.
