Hello From a New M5 Owner!!
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com The sad thing is, here in Canada it's covered in snow until April, so I likely won't be able to drive it very much until then. Below are just a few pics I want to share... more to follow when it's not -20 degrees out! Previous Ride: New Ride: |

Thanks everyone, yea I love the Sakhir Orange. It's bold but still kinda elegant and sporty at the same time.

Love the color. Now what's this business of not driving your in the snow? Put some good snow tires on her and have some fun driving a rear wheel beast in the powder. I'm in Chicago, and I drive mine in all but the deepest snow conditions.
Congrats! |

Hahaha I will be getting some winter tires eventually. What wheels are you using for the winter? I was thinking of getting some winter tires for the factory 20s currently on the car, but damn they're expensive!

I called TireRack and they suggested the setup. I wanted to get 19" for better traction, but I have CCB's so I had to go with 20". I went with Blizzak LM-32 tires (all square set up) and Flow One Race Spec wheels. Not much cheaper than the OEM winter setup, but I like the look better.

Nice,....but here are a few words of caution! I once parked a previously owned X5 4.8is in a driveway covered with snow and ice, and when I set out to go to work the next morning, I saw that my X5 had slid into the street. I pondered for minutes as to what could have caused this,...and soon realized that the snow covered inclined driveway allowed such to happen.
When I returned home that evening,...I 'chocked' a wheel to prevent this from occurring again! TC
