Yes I do but you missed the part about "that kind of power". The Noelle tune does not give you the same HP as the Stage 4 Manhart". Very happy with mine but for crazy power Manhart is the way to go.

There should never be any doubt about the abilities of Ron at Performing Imports or Karl at Noelle Motors. They offer tunes that keep the cars within the BMW recommended limits (of the DCT). I can't imagine that there is anyone, and I mean anyone who knows the performance capabilities and technical details of BMW motors than the combination of these two guys. Best in the world IMO hands down.

Apart from the good folks at BMW ///M GmbH that engineered and designed these engines

Actually Karl Otto Noelle (Noelle Motors) IS the guy who developed the turbo technologies for the BMW motors in use today and also the guy who....well, only a few of us know here...including the tuners. :-)

So, that would take the "apart from" right out of the equation.

"someone" still has not asked all the questions I see.....and I don't mean you BOSS.

It is my understanding that Karl-Otto Noelle was head of engine development at Alpina from 1984 to 1993 and was in charge of the E34 Alpine B10 Bi-turbo.... But I fail to see how that = BMW ///M.

Correct...mostly. Nice job reading his website. And do you see any correlation between the 335, 535, 550i, and M5 S63tu whatsoever? Do a little more research into the development of these motors and the turbo technologies being used.

Anyhow, this is not a pissing match about who did what. I was just reiterating that Karl is extremely credible because my reasoning for not mentioning Performing Imports and Noelle was questioned.

A part that you missed on the site a few sentences down: "MST Noelle now supplies many prestigious BMW tuners in Germany and companies in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Russia/CIS and the United Arab Emirates. noelle motors also will continue along that path and also market its products directly to end customers in Germany." You can draw pretty easy conclusions about the origin and supplier of some of the aforementioned tunes from this (OBD tunes). Alternatively, you can simply call some of these tuners and ask them where their F10 M5 tune comes from. They will tell you.

I didn't miss anything...providing tunes to aftermarket tuners does not = BMW ///M. Yes he has an expertise and great experience with turbos but you previously insinuated that Noelle was more involved with the BMW development than is the case.

Nice post and thank you for taking the time and uploading videos. There are some that just want to be negative and that is their prerogative but please accept our thanks that most of us appreciate your post. I am on the fence for a tune but have the downpipes and exhaust already and thinking about gruppe m intake.

Peace
Noushy

In fact, it's not uncommon for even big companies to use smaller outside vendors to co-develop their products. Ford (and many others including Mercedes, Opel/GM, Audi, Aston Martin etc.) have used Cosworth to develop their performance engines. My 15 year old son just bought a Focus with a Cosworth developed engine in it (Focus ST170/Focus SVT).

I wouldn't know whether Noelle has been involved with the development of the S63TÜ or not, but I wouldn't dismiss the possibility that the company might have been used as consultants at some stage. For instance, AMG exhausts are made by Eisenmann...

Would be interesting to know the inside story here

Nobody was being negative. You created that in your head friend. I think his car is INSANE and I give (and have given) all the credit in the world to Manhart. I simply responded to a credibility question about Noelle. I am very glad, sincerely, that his car worked out so well. I had not doubt it would. The black boxes are for resiting the waste gates on the turbos. Good job by Manhart as expected doing the install of them.

And just to set the record straight I never questioned the credibility and expertise of Karl-Otto Noelle. I was just questioning the inference that he was directly involved in BMW ///M development process.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was not saying you questioned anyoone. A previous comment was made by someone else that asked why I was not standing behind previous comments.

Anyway, onward and upward. Those Manhart cars ROCK! Saw the video of Mbitious racing a C63 AMG Black Edition and sssmmmmoookked him!

That Italia video is very cool. 458 pulls with the torque on low end but Manhart makes up for it with the hp on top! Very nice! GREAT VIDEO :-)
