2013 M5 Speed Limiter

The other day I was alone on a couple mile stretch highway. So I figured I would try to hit top speed I was already cruising at 70 mph. I was able to reach 162 mph had to slow down caught up to some cars. But I thought the US cars were governed at 155mph?

I haven't done a top speed run yet, but from what others have mentioned the speedo shows mid 160s when the limiter stops acceleration. The usual optimistic speedometer error I'd guess.

The speedos read high. GPS sped should be 155.

167 mph a few weeks ago. That's indicated 167. On my gps at 88 mph the car shows 84. I'm sure at higher speeds its off even more
