Oh that's too bad. I'm sure it will trickle down from fellow brand Audi eventually.
What about forced induction? How is the torque?

Obiously I'm asking rhetorical questions.
I find Porsche is pretty backward when it comes to tech and engines. Once they start to gain access to Audi's tech, I will start to consider a Panny instead of an M5. Until then, it's no context imo. My guess is that the next gen GTS will have the Audi S8 engine and it will be glorious.

With all of the problems in this world, I feel extremely lucky to have the opportunity to have a few restless nights over choosing between a S7, 991, 991S, M5, M6, Panamera S, Panamera 4S, Panamera GTS, and Panamera Turbo. All were great cars, but in the end, ironically, I feel in love with the way the Panamera looked. But, I have loved hatchbacks since my first car, a 82 Toyota Supra. Six months ago, I was DEAD SURE that a Singapore Gray M6 with Sahkir and Carbon interior was going to be my car. I was so certain that I would buy it and keep it for 10 years. But as more images were released, the more reviews I read, the more I saw the car in person, and finally on the test drive, I didn't love it. Similar feeling for the M5. Now, if I wanted to spend the extra money, I would love it for my wife and drive it every now and then |

I do think that Porsche will be soon deploying forced induction across the range, and not just on their Turbo models. It may cause a branding issue for them, but I don't think they have a choice if they want to retain a reputation for performance cars. Further, I can imagine them sharing powerplants between Audi and Porsche, as they are already beginning to do with diesels. This also implies that the high output NA engines will die out.

I just traded in my m5 for the panamera gts . The sound of the gts engine is amazing. It's sounds so good I can actually disregard the missing power. Yes the m5 is definetly a faster car . The gts is in my opinion a much more fun car to drive.
You mentioned something about whell spacers. Can you give me some info on them . I would like to do the same. |

I'm quite happy you like the Panny, but disagree somewhat that looks are as subjective as suggested... The facts are that Jaclyn Smith is, and has always been-a smokin' hot woman. Roseanne Barr is not, and has never been. Even if RB had similar 0-60 stats, I wouldn't buy her...

Panamera GTS is underpowered by modern standards.
The C2S makes up for a weaker engine than the M4 by being lighter. The GTS is not exceptionally light. I would take an M5 or an E63 over a GTS any day. But them I care about power and the cost of upgrading the sound on an M5 is a cheap option. BTW Audi R8 is end of lifecycle. I wouldn't use it's engine as a reference any more.

Love the GTS myself. I think the OPs review from a year ago is right on. Porsche just gives you such a solid feel. And trim is impeccable. The CF trim is far nicer than the M5/6 trim. If we hadn't leased the F12 cab we'd prob trade it on a Panamera or Cayenne GTS.
Oh those motors. Was reminiscing about my C2S today. I love my TTS but I do miss that NA engine sometimes. Congrats on the Panamera! Now post some pics!

I love the way the Panamera GTS drives and the sound of the exhaust is amazing. I found the interior to be nice also. The problem I had when it came to write the check was I just couldnt get over the looks. I tried and tried and tried but I just couldn't get myself to like the looks. I really wanted this car but I could not get myself to buy a car I found unattractive.
