New toy, not an M3..
Hi guys,
Been lurking on this board for a long time now finally decided to introduce myself. I've been a huge domestic car guy growing up, used to own quite a few Cobra's and 5.0 Mustangs, but always had a soft spot for BMW's especially M cars. I owned a E46 M3 for a short time and it was probably one of the best handling cars hands down. I ended up selling it and picked up a WRX then a EVO IX which I've always wanted since they first came out and although those cars were definitely fun, I think I started to grow out of that scene and just wanted something fast, comfortable, and luxurious. A few months ago I started lurking around looking for a used E92 with low milage around Socal and although there were a few good deals I wasn't ready to pull the trigger until 2 weeks ago and when I finally was able to all the cars I looked at were sold or the asking price was too much based on the mileage on the cars. Then a few days ago I saw a 2011 M3 Coupe at my local dealership so yesterday me and the wife decided to take a look. Turns out it wasn't what I wanted as it looked like it had been modded and demodded to sell back to the dealership. Then the sales person told me they had a lease special on the 2 brand new convertible M3's they had on the lot and wanted to move those quick. Then my wife saw the new 6 series and insisted she wanted a new 6 . To make a long story short, we compromised and picked up this new bad boy! Funny how things worked out, went to look at a used M3, then started negotiating on a new M3 and ended up going home with a new M5. Love the car so far. Nothing fancy just basic pacakage + lighting package. Not the best picture but I'll be cleaning her up and taking some better pictures this weekend. Last edited by GotE46M; 12-04-2013 at 10:50 PM.. |

Nice car man, I totally understand the jumping from car to car thing. A couple times I've gone into a dealer I go with the sole purpose to buy a certain car then something looks better and I buy that. Dealers are our weak spot...you're lucky to have an understanding wife.
Congrats again!

Wow, very nice and you've chosen wisely! Funny how sometimes things just work out even though you didn't plan it. Hope you'll be using the rear seats

I was the same but went the other way. Always had an M car and went trough my Rally cars as well, had an Evo IX which i loved but grew out of as well and now currently drive an F10 M5. I always had a soft spot for mustangs so I picked up a 14 GT500. Absolutely THE most fun, scary, outrageous neck snapping car I've ever owned
