One thing I have noticed is, I am actually getting worse mileage with valves open all the time. Its around 1.5-2 mpg worse all around both city and highway. I cant get above 20.5 in highway.

I am sure you can return it. How about you try it and see for yourself. Can you achieve the result of opening the valves with wires for a few buck? Yup. Does the EM give you the option between forced open at all times and default back to the car's settings for open/closed? Yup. Is one better than the other? Nope.

This all boils down to choice. I can say that my exhaust gets deeper when I activate the EM. For me, I like having the option of pulling out of my driveway first and then calling for the increased exhaust note down the street. I leave my house early for work on the weekdays and the gym on the weekends, so this is an important benefit to me. For others, open all the time might be the right answer.

I do not live in suburbs, if I did and had to drive to work early in the morning, this car would be a problem. It is already loud as is with CP exhaust, with valves open its in another level.

How do people put custom rpi exhaust to this car is beyond me.

It's easy. Lift it up bolt it on and step on the gas. Hear all the glory. Your just worried about cold start. After that it's nothing.

Can someone who has EM try driving in the same roads for 5-10 miles with EM on and off and report back with mileage. I am getting about 10-15% worse mileage. I am getting about 9-10 mpg in city

It is probably rephrase question -? Anybody here knows what exact purpose the Valves serve in the first place?
