Ran 11.3@127

On the way back from the track. I will post up pics and vids when I get home.
I ran a best of 11.3xx@127 with oem tires with 10k abusive miles on them.
This proves my point you don't need expensive exhausts or intakes to be fast. I showed up with BMS tune, which I applaude, and ams downpipes. I ran against a 2012 e63 amg with weistec tune, drag radials and 110 octane. His best was 11.8. Stay tuned for the vids and pics.

Few pics included. I was messing around with different settings all day and some of the slower times reflect very work tires as well as bad choice in the M mode.

What worked best was:
Launch with all settings in efficient mode with traction completely off and WOT.
As soon as I switched to 2nd gear I would hit M2 button which was all in Sport plus with traction off. Since my tires were worn I had to find a setting that had limited tire spin off the line. My first run I had everything in sport plus which caused excessive tire spin and horrible 60 foot times and killed the whole run.
Tire pressure set to 30 psi in the rear and lots 45 psi in the front.

Those are stock numbers for e63 unless his car is not running good. My weistec tuned e63 ran 11.2 at 128 on 93 gas. Something is not right there

He wasn't very happy and said couldn't hook evn though he had 305's drag radials. He was also on 109 octane.
I believe this could be one of the fastest times out there for now. I am ordering some 19's and getting either slicks or drag radials along with RPI scoops and will use real gas next time, maybe 109. I found a technique that works for me and hoping to get to 10.999

It took me couple tries to get used to it, but it definitely worked the best on stock tires. Track was prepped very well since they had funny cars out there today.

I will need it. Thanks. I grew up racing straight only and as much as I give props to the guys that do well in the corners I think I will stick with mastering the quarter mile.

I found that race fuel reduces my times by about 2-3 tenths.

I've always set my best times on 93 Octane and find 100 and 110 Octane reduce performance.

I haven't tried the drags yet with mine, and never would have thought of switching modes during the run, great idea! Thanks for the post and the vids. Have you looked into the difficulties of changing clutches yet? I wonder how the smaller diameter inner clutch will hold up over time with repeated drag runs? The launch is so critical for good ET, but I'm concerned with the durability of the differential once slicks are used. And there's probably no way to evaluate wear without a teardown of the diff...... beyond my skills.

Maybe you just need more seat time after putting race fuel in the car. A car with forced induction makes more power on race fuel and it's harder to launch. Pump gas makes it much easier to launch since you are putting less power to the ground. What times are you getting?
