Getting rid of my 2013 M5, what to get next?

I'm getting some quotes on the 2015 M6 coupe but curious to hear what else I should consider?

Well, it seems that you do not need four doors anymore, if that is the case the M6 F12 is an option or as many are doing nowadays have a 991 demo at the nearest Porsche dealership.

Good call! I'll swing by Porsche San Diego today and check it out.

Dude what kind of numbers are they telling you on the M6?

Residual?
% off MSRP?

Right now they are still offering awesome numbers on the 14 M5, M6, and M6 Gran Coupe. Residuals like 61%.

Just curious.

It all depends on what you are looking for....if it is performance and driving experience I recommend a 991...you pick which one...

New M3 all day long!

M5 is girl your parents would approve of, all good in every way, and the right choice, but no where as fun as that nasty one you didn't chase all those years ago....

Then spend all that money you just saved on 5 kick arse adventures all over the place! Nurburgring in a rented race car? Much better "I've got the biggest nutts" story for your car buddies!

I'll text you, I'd love to give that 991S a spin.

I just got these numbers from BMW Encinitas... They're bad.

The 2015 M6 I had picked out has a sticker of $133,225.00. They said they can give me $1K off so haven't really gotten any movement there.

At 10K miles/year the residual is $71,941.50, or 54%.
At 12K miles/year the residual is $70,609.25, or 53%.

i'll skip the AMG products, the engine is great but transmission is out dated
panamera gts is a great car similar size to M5
or 991 S for a smaller sporty car

Unfortunately the salesman that used to work at Encinitas that I knew no longer works there. $1K off MRSP is horrible, but is semi-understandable since it is the new 2015 Model Year. If you can, I'd wait a few months at least if you really have your heart set on a 2015 ///M car. As for other options, Porsche is a great alternative if you don't need a spacious cabin any more, but I'd argue that a Competition Package M6 Coupe handles damn well too. Think of the E63 as a worse handling M5 but with AWD that tries to compensate for its worse handling characteristics. The same for the Audi RS7 but seems like they are trying too hard and the Quattro works overtime to make the car handle well. And if you don't care about luxury so much or exhaust note, then I'd highly consider an F80 M3 or F82 M4 instead. I'd maybe wait to at least test drive the new M3 and M4 before you pull the trigger on any new car. As many have said before, you seriously can't go wrong with a 911 C2S. If you can afford it and can wait just a little longer, I'd go 991 GT3. No back seats in the GT3 really, but to me it's a bargain supercar, although I'm guessing a stock F10 M5 will still be able to beat it in a rolling race.

All my opinion of course.
