Buying an M5 that started life in Canada

I'm looking at picking up this 2013 M5. It spent most of it's life in Canada.
Unfortunately the dealer isn't very helpful, but I am having it inspected this week.

I see it has MPH on the speedometer

Does anyone foresee any issues with it being from Canada? differences, value etc

Here's the link: https://www.sq1auto.com/used/BMW/201...f719bc2746.htm

Everything should be the same.

It looks clean, but 7 owners is too many for these cars imo.

Looks like a pretty well kept example and a nice spec (Frozen paint, full leather, cooled & massage seats, assistance systems such as lane change and departure warnings, soft close doors, heated steering wheel).

Interesting that it has had the cluster changed to a MPH one - no doubt a good thing from your perspective though.

If it has had 7 owners as per M5_Raz's post above, that would give me some cause for concern and you would want to go over it with a fine tooth comb to ensure you not buying someone else's problems.

the amount of owners def gives me cause for concern. I bought my wife's X5 M from a dealership that got it from VA where it showed it came from Canada and was used by the ministry of transportation (the CDN equivalent of the Dept of Transportation)

What on earth would ministry of transportation be using a totr X5 M for?? Usually would be small block diesels I would have thought.

Searched the vin posted on the website on mdecoder and it shows the car is a manual, not a DCT, plus many bits of information are missing.

FWIW they all show as manual on the M Decoder site LOWvert (regardless of being DCT or the 3 pedal manual).

I thought the same thing.....your Canadian tax dollars at work.

Right now I have an issue getting my wifes truck on my connected BMW app. I suspect its because the VIN was from their Canadian contingent.......but I dont know. They swapped everything over to SAE except temp.....but I know Celsius as well so no big deal for me.
