New owner grill question

New car Monday.
What do people do about the shiny front grill on the m5, replace or paint the chrome black? It's a bit bling for me.
Most new grills come without the m5 badge online.
Cheers

You can either wrap it, spray it satin black or purchase from dealer if you want it with the badge,I would personally spray it.

The most economical alternative is to paint it. Once you remove the grill, you can take it apart to make it easier to paint. Lightly scuff the chrome area (and I used adhesion promoter before applying the the black coat. Since mine was painted glossy black, I clear coated it with three coats. It has held up for the past two and a half years and still looks like the day I finished it. If you want the ultimate longevity, you can use 2K paint, especially if you are going the flat route.
Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I've brought some black gloss wrap I'm going to have a bash at that. If I do a terrible job I'll be going your route. 👍

i'm a time = money kind of person when it comes to mods. also, i know i won't do as good of a job as whomever is manufacturing the product.

iND was an easy choice for me but there are more affordable options out there on eBay, forum classifieds, etc.

Mine were originally wrapped. The wrap started to pull back at the edges (after 4 years) so I went to the paint option. Make sure you wrap around the edges well.

Good luck and enjoy the ride

Yes I've seen these. I'll have a do at the wrap first and see how it holds up 👍
