Dinan Tuned?

How many people in NY/NJ/PA/CT have their car Dinan Tuned? Or any tune period?

PM me with questions if you have them. I see you were inquiring about Dinan tune vs others on a different post.

Dinan vs Competition Package

My question is similar. I have an e39 M5 with many mods. I have $70,000 and want to either purchase a 07/2012 M5 for $50,000 and add $20,000 of Dinan stuff or buy a $70,000 2014 M5 with Competition Package. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of how these two would compare?

Stg 1 non CP vs Stg 2?

Can you jump straight to Stg 2 without CAI or down pipes? Do dealers negotiate on pricing? New to M5 and this forum. Thx!

I'm not so sure about that Rearview. You could always ask Dinan or go to a local dealership or shop that does Dinan.

You can definitely jump straight to stage 2. I believe Dinan would recommend CAI and exhaust to maximize gains from the stage 2. Though, I really don't know how much is really gained (that you'd notice) by the CAI and some mufflers. Stage 2 is definitely noticeable! Catless was noticeable in that throttle response became better...

As for price negotiation; you can always ask though I'm not sure if you'll get much. Dinan is really expensive anyway compared to other options. I value the warranty and maybe resale someday.

Flash tune was not available when I had the Dinan tune installed...

i have the S1 Package for my '15 CP. It was a bit expensive, but worth every penny.

There are pros and cons to both of these options. It really depends on your wants/needs.

As for the comparison.. I've driven the new comp package and I own a 2013 with stage 2 Dinan, suspension, catless, CAI etc.

If your question is about performance. There is no question. The tuned M5 is a different car in so many ways. Again... What are your preferences?

I do love the LCI headlights, steering wheel etc in the newer models. Next project for me is a steering wheel retrofit. I already bought the airbag...haha

Is Flash tune another Dinan product or an alternative?

Dinan will not flash tune. That's an alternative.

Is your car under warranty? What exactly do you want to do to your car?

Car is under warranty. What iam trying to get at is, why choose dinan over say the jb4? From what i understand, bmw does not cover dinan. Dinan covers dinan. So why spend the premium?
