Rear seat belts flapping

Hi All --

Tell me I'm not the only one with the problem of the rear seat belts flapping like crazy when the windows are down? The weather was pretty nice this past weekend, and I was out cruising around... and the belts were constantly flapping, loud as hell, when driving at speed.

I've tried buckling them to no evail. Considering using velcro strips to hold them in place, but that means sticking the adhesive to the leather seat.

Any solutions to this?

Thanks

Are you sure it's the seat belts making the noise you're hearing? When I first bought my M5 I wanted to try different things and rolled the rear windows down while driving on the freeway. For me it was the package tray vibrating from the wind into the back area, not the seat belts. Easy solution of course, as E90 says, but very noisy if you do ever have passengers who wish to have their windows down.

I've made no effort to fix the problem, but I'd think a couple of unobtrusive plastic panel clips, the stock items used all over the M5, would solve the issue by fastening the package tray to the underlying sheet metal.

My front passenger side seat belts make a loud flapping sound when I drive with my windows down. My solution to the problem is use that plastic holder thing and push it to the top where the seat belt connector is tightly stuck.

I've had it OP, but moving the male portion of the buckle was sufficient to stop it.
Haven't had it in some time.
