How much longer?

Hi,

I've got an F10 M5 on order and they have said the production date to be 7th November. When am I likely to get delivery of the vehicle (UK)?

Based on my recolection with tracking my 2011 car, you are probably looking at the week of November 18th, or after.

After the car rolls off production, it takes a couple of days for loading the cars on the train to Bremmerhaven. Then loading the ship can take another couple of days, then a day's journey to Southhampton, another day for offloading and final checks at port. Not sure how long it takes to get to your dealer....but probably another couple of days.

My M is scheduled for completion on November 6th, so could be in the same batch of cars that are trasported in the process. Unfortunately, my car will have a lot longer journey after leaving England.

Best vacation I ever had was in London/England and cant wait to get back. Attending a taping of "Top Gear" is on my bucket list of things to do!

Thank you for that, very helpful. London is an awesome place, I've travelled a lot but this place is definitely special.

f10bhx - Have you heard any updates from your dealer on when they will get the car? I think you and I are within a day from production. (mine on the 6th, yours on the 7th) Right now my car is at Bremerhaven waiting for a ship. My guess is that you are there now as well and if the schedule is correct, we might end up on the same ship..the Honor, which will go to England for its first stop then on to the US.

Let me know what they say, still not sure if I am on a ship yet.

The car is at Southampton and will be at the dealer on Friday. I take delivery of the vehicle later next week - 29th. I'm guessing this is after registration and PDI.
