BMW F10 M5 (2013+) – Meisterschaft GTC (EV control) Exhaust System Demonstration

We put together this quick video of our BMW F10 M5 (2013+) – Meisterschaft GTC (EV control) Exhaust System. This system features our Wireless Remote option upgrade, and is completed with a set of 4x102mm tips. If you look closely you will see one side in our standard polished finish, and the other in a Matte Black upgrade option. This system gives the F10 M5 a very distinct sound tone with the use of 90mm piping throughout. We've also seen a solid performance gain with an average of +35HP. Any questions don't hesitate to contact us!

Here's a couple photos of it installed on our car, as well as some of the unit itself.

Meisterschaft GTC (EV Control) vs. Super Light GT Racing:

Meisterschaft engineered the Super Light GT Racing and GTC (EV Control) for the F10 M5 to provide as much performance gains one can receive from an exhaust system alone while intensifying the vehicle’s exotic exhaust note. The main difference between the two systems is that the GTC (EV Control) is equipped with electric valves which opens and closes with a flick of a switch inside the vehicle cabin (or by our optional wireless remote upgrade).

With the valves fully open, the GTC (EV Control) exhaust system will provide you with all the performance gains the Super Light GT Racing exhaust system puts out. But, with the valves fully closed on the GTC (EV Control), the vehicle will sound as quiet as the OEM exhaust and you can drive comfortably.

LXR Pipe with Velocity Box:

The LXR Pipe replaces stock exhaust piping starting from the primary catalytic converters and ends where it attaches to the SR pipes of the rear mufflers. Our engineers designed the LXR Pipe for maximum performance. They achieved these results by eliminating the restrictive factory resonator and increased the piping diameter from 79-80mm (OE) to 89-92mm.

Larger piping diameter combined with the Velocity Box (which creates a vortex-like effect) reduces back pressure and causes the exhaust gasses to pass through at a higher rate of flow.

Meisterschaft vs. OEM Weights:

Meisterschaft Super Light GT Racing (SUS)
LXR Pipe: 24.8 lbs
SR Pipe + Mufflers: 49.5 lbs
TOTAL: 74.3 lbs

Stock Exhaust
LXR Pipe: 31.0 lbs
SR Pipe + Mufflers: 53.4 lbs
TOTAL: 84.4 lbs

Does the use of downpipes without catalysts on the Meisterschaft 90mm system make an ECU tune a mandatory requirement, or can the car run fine without the catalysts and without adjustments for altered fueling needs? With no catalysts I assume there is no need for the flapper valves on the mufflers? Is there a way to defeat a warning message on the display when the catalysts are removed?

(Meisterschaft Full cat-back system + OE/Stock ECM)

As usual, Meisterschaft Full cat-back (90mm piping) system does not require any ECU upgrade.
The vehicle runs great without any problems and Power gain is handsome as you see on our previous posts.
Here is the link to GTHAUS blog about this cat-back system.
http://gthausblog.com/?p=2537

(Meisterschaft Full cat-back system + TS1 : TYR Tech Stage 1 ECM tune)

When you couple up TYR ECU tune with Meisterschaft Full cat-back system, it truly shines.
Due to 90mm large diameter piping utilization on our system,
you will be able to maximize your HP/TQ with (stage 1) ECU tune and works absolutely the best of all.
Solid power gain is achieved and you shall see the result on this particular video.
This (stage 1) step has been thoroughly tested, completed and we are now offering to public.
Vehicle operation is very smooth and power gain is truly awesome.
Stage 1 Software brings Moderate (HP/TQ) claimed gain as you see on this video
and also Top-speed governor (Vmax) removal

(Meisterschaft Full cat-back + turbo back special Down pipes + TS2: TYR Tech Stage 2 ECM tune)

Now Full cat-back system + Downpipe (Cat delete) which will require TYR tech - Stage 2 ECU set up.
We have been testing Stage 2 ECU for several weeks already (since after SEMA) and will be offering to public
after our road testing is done in few more weeks.
So far again the result is very impressive and no issues for past 800+ miles with stage 2 setup.
Stage 2 tune will bring Aggressive (HP/TQ) gain, Cat-removal, Vmax removal without any engine faulty codes
We will be releasing stage 2 set up video soon, please stay tuned.
It sounds exciting (almost sounds like JET plane with those turbos) and it performs truly amazing.

Anyone who is interested in this, our doors are open, please come in and see it for yourself. Thanks~!

Gentlemen,

We are getting a lot of PMs and emails about the following same question. So, here are some answers for you.

While the Super GT unit (SGT) is conventional (No valve controlled) performance exhaust system,
Yes, the GTC unit is (Sound and Performance) controllable!! with or without (optional) wireless remote control we offer.
You can enjoy the aggressive exhaust roar, turbo propelled sound, also (most of all) the power gain when you want it
and at the same time you can make it civil (quiet) and humble when you need it.
No one else offers this EV-C feature in the market.

It is Electronic Motor control (Just like all new F30 BMW factory exhaust units are), so we named it EV Controlled unit (EV-C unit)
and YES, even the new factory OE exhaust units are moving away from ancient vacuum source valve operation and going into
ECU operated electric motor control.

Here is a link for GTHAUS – Meisterschaft F10 M5 exhaust product offerings:
http://gthaus.com/ver3_ghdetails.php...=38&Submit.y=8

Hope this clarifies and answer some of your questions,
and if you have any further detailed questions, please email us or give us a call.
Thank you for your interests !!

That sound is impressive, but now I have the reverse question. How is the car for just regular around town driving, sound wise? Will it be able to appear 'normal' during low rpm city driving? If so, I love it! Could you do any video with the filming done from a car alongside, at usual city/freeway speeds (20 to 80 mph)?

Thank you !!
That is the exact purpose of our GTC unit. These videos are GTC - Open mode (Loud) tested.
You can shut the valve (Closed mode) and go back to stock sound at anytime you wish
by clicking your wireless remote system - please refer to the video (top of this thread) we have posted.
thanks again.
