What's Next? Lease ending M5.

My lease for my current M5 is up in July and stuck and don't know what to do. Options as far as I see them:

1. X5M
2. Another brand, MB, Porsche
3. Lease assumption for 6-12 months until I can order the new M5.

Anyone have any thoughts / ideas or in the same boat?

I'd stay away from the new M5 for the first model year, let them work the bugs out. My lease isn't up till aug of 18 so I don't have your dilemma yet. Which ironically should be about the time they start accepting orders on the forthcoming M5.

To be honest buy a 991.2 Turbo or Turbo S in the secondary market. You'll be able to find great deals in 6-12 months for sure. Best bang for the buck but not an M Car!

As someone who has always loved wagons, E63s wagon has always been a heart throb for me. Insane performance and all the usability.

But this is a BMW forum so X5M!

I was in this same position in December when my M5 lease was up.

I ended up with an X5 50 because the lease rates on the X5M were just so bad. I am very happy with the X5. The X5M would have been great, if the residuals were a bit higher percentage.

I would say the same thing too BUT it's basically the same car....most problem child bugs should be squashed compared to previous 1st year models.

With that said - go for the new m5

Are you tired of the F10? Maybe a short term lease on another M5.

That's what Im considering when my lease ends in November.

When my F10 M5 lease came to an end I took a 2 year lease on the M3 with competition package. The car is quicker and more nimble then a M5 in the twists and I am very happy.

If you want to stick to M-car, you can get M3/M4 and have fun for coupe years till the next M5/M6 is out there. That's what I did and I'm happy so far
