Helmholtz Resonater - Drone Removal

Has anyone tried a Helmholtz Resonator to deal with Drone at 1800-2200 RPM?

I had talked about this a while back, but it never really gained any traction.

Anyone?

Well it’s acoustic wave cancellation - maybe. That car still has the record for most power on stock motor!

i will look for it. I remember we discussed installing the helmholtz resonator as close to the engine as possible instead of way back near the muffler. That way it will cancel those dreaded frequencies in the cabin.

We've incorporated resonators into our muffer bypass exhaust to prevent droning - sounds great!

We're using Helmholtz resonators on our 997 / 996 Turbo catless applications to target drone around the 2-3k RPM range - it's notoriously bad on these cars. It doesn't completely eliminate drone but it definitely cuts it way down.
