First Drive: 2014 LCI CP
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I'm very happy with the aesthetics, colour choices and the wheels look great live as reported by others. The first drive was pretty sluggish though (twisty, mountain road) I will reserve judgement until it adjusts to my driving style and breaks in, but it was pretty tame indicating that the car is definitely programmed that way. Previous car was a 997 C4S so I'll need to "adjust my expectations" somewhat but definitely notice the obvious character differences. I've not been able to get the Connected Drive or USB music input to work with neither an iPhone 5 or iPod Classic. Bluetooth is fine. B&O also needs to be broken in but noticed the tone improving with each hour. I'm happy, but impatient with technology... Last edited by Just_Joe_M5; 09-06-2013 at 02:38 PM.. Reason: Adding a photo |

With respect to my initial audio issues, the "break in" is simply working in the speakers a little. That's pretty common and doesn't take long at all. As for the Aux, the issue was the dealer supplied iPod connector. It's not recognized by iDrive but the standard Apple supplied connector works just fine. |

Yes high end system take a while to brake in. Once you break them you will notice much deeper base and clearer tweets. Some sytems take up to 40+ hours. When I get a home system upgrade I leave them playing for a week while at work. ( off at night). It get better with time =)

We could arrange for you to see mine sometime. I work downtown. The BMW Store has a blue 2014 M6 GC. It is a stunning car (sitting at the back of the showroom). They also have a frozen black 2013 which is something else altogether. Last edited by Just_Joe_M5; 09-01-2013 at 12:18 AM.. Reason: Add more text |

Thanks. I have seem the San Marino Blue M6GC - very deep colour, M6 Cab in my area with same. I will call Jessel. I decided on ED to match the March break for kids or else I would have the car now too - I ordered once the ordering book was open too.

Thanks!
Really glad I bought this car (my first M).
Thanks for the discussions and insight. Yes, I have a painted front reflector ready to install. I'm just building up the nerve to begin the process :-) Cheers. |

Yes, it has the new touch pad. I haven't played with it much yet. I drove a 645 for many years so I'm familiar with the clicks and turns. |
