Door lock settings keeps changing
I have tried to set the doors to automatically lock once the car is in drive. Once the box is checked, it will be fine for a few days, then the box is unchecked in the Settings Menu and it will revert back to doors being open while I drive. I will then have to set it again. This is getting damn annoying.. can anyone help me out?

Any chance you're alternating keys? The settings are remembered for each key. If you set them for key #1 and then accidentally grab key #2 one day all the settings will be different.

Yes, it should. If you're using the same key and settings keep changing, sounds like a software bug. Maybe try having the dealer reprogram the car to see if it corrects the bug?

When you are using the second key, ensure that a different profile is selected. If not, change it. You should only have to change it once and from there on out the keys will be using separate profiles.
Worth a try..

You create a profile in your iDrive and it will be associated with the key used to open the car
Once you've created one for the first key. Lock the car and open it with the second key and create a second profile using a different name You can also use the online profile manager to modify/change settings once you've done the initial setup. http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/navigation/pia.html You can also transfer profiles to other BMWs (loaners etc)

Good to know, my car was doing the same thing. Thought the car was developing Alzhemimer's.

To get to the profiles menu: Settings -> Profiles To rename a profile: Highlight the profile you want to rename (for example highlight the checked profile that's probably named "------" and then move the iDrive controller right to access the options menu, then click Rename. Give that a try and I'm sure that will rectify the car memory issue your having. check back in and let us know if it worked.
