Annoying squeek when braking at very low speed

I would be grateful for any ideas..to
When I bring the car or a halt, very gently I get an annoying noise that sounds like a brake binding, it reminds me of the noise you can get when you release the handbrake in an old van. I have had BMW inspect and charge me for cleaning the front calipers and checking, and although they said it's fine. Its exactly the same.

Brake hard or at speed and no noise. It can be very bad when releasing the brake to move down hill in traffic

Pretty normal with high performance pads and rotors... had it on all of my sports cars.

If it bothers you so much, try quieter break pads.

+1

My car squeaks when stopping. Normal.

You can try quieter brake pads but they may not stop as well when hot.

EDIT: My pads and rotors are stock.

yes, stock pads and rotors will make noise at slow speeds. they do make quieter pads but you sacrifice stopping power. if you don't drive aggressively, swap them out.

Try bed-in process... it works for couple weeks and then you need to do it again. This noise is pretty normal for M5/M6 BTW...

Not hearing what you are but as an additional thing to check....I had what I was sure was a brake squeak coming from front right...only happened on light breaking actions....turns out it was the fan bearing in the rear seat blower motor. As the load shifts under breaking it loaded up the bearing and it would squeak. Reach back and turn off the fan and see if the squeak goes away. Turn back on and repeat and see if it squeaks again. If it does then that is the culprit.

I changed my pads and used some stuff from the local autp parts that you put on the back of the pads. Squeak gone.

I also had a really annoying squeaks on my brakes (sounded like a train), and I went to the dealer 3 times with it because we couldn't reproduce the noise.
Here is a video of the noise: https://streamable.com/pn80t

I was finally able to reproduce the noise the last time I went by braking at about 15mph while turning. Once I did that, they started squeaking at low mph until I let the car cool down for an hour or so.

According to the dealer, my front brakes were the cause and they were supposedly replaced (still had about 15k miles on them according to the car dashboard). Rotors were not replaced.

I'll see if I can do a video at sometime as it's definitely not a high pitch squeek, more groan like releasing a handbrake, I could believe it's the pedal mechanism in some way. The only time I have heard something similar was with a handbrake in an old car !
