project gamma intakes

anyone running project gamma intakes? if so how do you like them? im a little sketchy on them being the intake pipes are made of silicone. wouldn't the silicone pipes flex under hard acceleration?

I’ve heard that they visibly distort on high boost on the dyno

I’d want aluminum with DEI reflective gold tape on them for the intake charge to stay coolest

Interesting. First I heard of this. Does anything negative come from the intakes flexing under load?

Id just assume eventually they'll delaminate and the MAF housing will distort which is the most important thing about the intake itself. They are all just a tube with a filter, but where they position the MAF in that tube will determine how the car runs.

If they are distorting, its a suction/lack of CFM on the breather side.

(think about taking a straw, sucking in...now cover the open end and do it again)

I have PG intakes now for a few weeks. Didn't really expect to notice any "gain", but maybe a few extra HP. The boost whoosh sound is nice though. I went the paper filter route due to being in Florida. I will say it was cheaper solution than the Eventuri intakes I had on my E60...but that's really apples to oranges in quality difference. Havent been on the dyno (nor do I plan to), so I cant comment on them collapsing under high boost.

We have sold and installed over 100 sets in our shop. We have 3 f10 m5 and m6 as shop
Cars all running them
2/3 have built motors making north of 800whp and have done over 20-30 dyno runs when tuning . Been on the car 2 years . Have not had a single issue. If someone is having any issue contact them and if there is a defect they will swap it out . But they don’t collapse they are reinforced .

İts impossible collapse to due vacuum, the intake structural is stronger then oem boot that goes between airbox and turbo inlet. And i never heard any one complaining about that. There was an issue with maf housing on 2017 versions that have been fixed and even improved with 3 never revisions.
