I think he just replicates other tuner and M parts - pretty sure Ive owned some in the past but cant remember either way. But if I hated them, Id probably remember.

To be honest I really dont mind that as long as the quality is as good as OEM....So much cheaper than everyone else though which is why I supposed im asking around

I think it comes down to what you're trying to accomplish...

Are you building a show car? Or are you super critical of fine details? If so, maybe you spend the money for top notch quality and fitment.

Otherwise, if it's just to add some fun to your personal ride and it's going to be subjected to normal wear and tear, then safe a few bucks and get a a knock off.

If you are looking for OEM quality, you'll have to spend the money. No shortcuts there.

You have to keep in mind that the biggest problem if cutting too much cost is fitment. That can drive a diy'er mad or increase your tab at a body shop should modifications be needed. Back in the day on the m3 and c63 I def skimped, but with the m5 I'm not. I've always felt the best mods are OEM mods. I don't feel like the m perf parts are that badly priced, especially during iND sales. My m performance spoiler is the perfect fitment.

Its amusing what some people pay for CF parts and think that these manufacturers are pioneering new techniques in the industry. For the most part, not in every case, its all the same crap.

The majority of parts made for large name vendors are coming from the same countries. Tiawan, China, etc., assumably the only difference is that they may reject more parts on manufacturing tolerances, or at the very least offer a fitment guarantee so if it doesn't mount correctly there's some recourse.

I have seen some well known vendors CF parts in person and the fit and finish was appaling on some of the pieces.

If I were to order from a company like JB speed, I would say keep it simple. I wouldn't order and entire rear diffuser and expect it to mount it withou any adjustments. Rear view mirror covers or a spoiler would probably be fine though.
