Seeing their bad launches, I wonder why they never thought of racing from a roll.

Glad you're part of online M community
Is this your first M car? I'm sure you will master and know your car more over time. Unlike AMGs, M cars more dependant on your driving skills and experience and usually yield much better results once mastered.

I have a question, is CTS-V modded? Because it seems to be.

With your permission I would like to add this video to my first post. Thanks for videos and uploads

Sure, no problem

It was more of a fun day and testing both cars to establish the best way to race. The V is my brother car, no modification at all (B&B exhaust which I don't think it considered a mod)
The M5 is my first M, so I am still learning how to adjust the best suspension setup, transmission setting ...... for racing and to learn how to use all that power and torque
Both cars are very powerful, but I think the M5 will take the V. I did notice that the more we raced the faster the M was going. The M has 2000 miles only, I think it will open up with time

Talking about AMG, I still miss my CLK63 AMG black series. It was a great track car

I have more videos that I will be uploading once I get a chance

evenly matched

It appears that both cars and even their drivers were evenly matched

Just to make sure, you weren't driving in automatic mode, right? You were shifting gear manually at redline, right?

I was driving in manual and shifting at redline, but each race had different shifting speed setting, S1, S2, S3 and I even tested D1,D2, D3

Very cool that we found the owner Have you driven the CTS-V? Besides the acceleration which we can see int he video how do the cars compare in other things like handling, etc.?

I tested the V for 160+ km (100 m) and to speed up to 240 km/h (140 m/h), it’s a very nice car and excellent value for the money. The M is superior in all aspects, design, interior quality, isolation, responsiveness, handling, control, high speed stability………
The things I liked the most about the V are the suspension and ride quality, high speed cornering, exhaust sound, and the fun of driving a manual transmission
If I am in the market for sport sedan, I will get the M if money was not an issue. If I have a tight budget I will get the V

Thanks. How do the sounds compare. One of the things I like most about the new m5 is the sound. It's engine doesn't sound as good as the e60 but the exhausts sounds much better.

Personally, I think it’s very quiet from the inside. I can not appreciate the exhaust sound at all when driving. From the outside it sound very good when the valve open (above 5000 RPM I think)
I just placed an order for KKS valve controlled exhaust system and I hope it will be what I want

The first 2000 km (1200 m) according to the book, after that it’s very hard to wait

Was the transmission for the CTS V a manual or automatic?

Thanks. Guess that's why BMW decided to use the active sound amplifier thing inside. But guess its still not enough for somel. Maybe your ears are too used to the Ferrari sound
