Of course it was though because there was damage done to it. The manager and director are out until Monday. The dealer itself has always been good to me. I've bought multiple M5s from them and they have always been great on repairs but this one bottom line sucked! Apparently the work was done by an external painting company, I'm doubting it's the dealership now more the painters.
Something seems off. The fact that the dealer is saying "try" and "won't fix" makes me very uncomfortable. Have you called your insurance company? Ask your adjuster to come visit you and show him the car. Your insurance company can probably sue the dealer.
Will do I will call my insurance company. I emailed my service advisor back. He emailed me asking to send me the issues and "we will try to get I all done". I agree "try" should not be used it should be we will fix. He then continued to ask me to not reflect this issue on the BMW survey. My SA has always been great and appears to be doing all he can. Maybe in just naive.
I would tell him that I'm extremely unhappy at their u professional behavior and the survey will reflect that unless they can fix it in next __ days
I may have messed that up, I tend to be too light on these kind of situations. I don't want to burn the bridge with the dealership.

I think the dealership is doing a pretty good job in that regard, so you dont have to worry about that at least.

More damage It looks like an adhesive but it's a scratch. How do you even do that!? Also note the tire condition. There's side wall scrubbing. I haven't done anything with these tires on. Someone had way too much fun

Can't objectively say, but looking at the tires it seems like someone did burnouts.

Unacceptable.

This is *absolutely* no different than someone breaking into your home and pissing all over the walls. You wouldnt stand for that, and neither should you let this go. Lawyer up!

Give them (the dealer) the option of ordering and selling you a new M5 at about $50K off sticker! The fact that they have probably had it painted by someone else makes no difference, the dealer is ultimately responsible for this and should be accountable for everything. I don't normally chime in on these posts but this one put me over the top. I am so pissed that a dealer let this happen, especially to an M5.

This coming from a guy that puts those clear steering wheel baggies on his leather wheel when taking his car in for any service. Yes....I am that anal.

This! If your insurance company cut a check, the adjuster would have had to create a file on the accident/damage that would likely include pictures. He can compare them to the current damage and demonstrate the additional damage caused by the dealership and the poor quality work.

Just got off the phone with my SA. He insisted car never left the lot?

Tread Depth is at 8.75/32" that is about 1.25 off!? There's less then 450 miles on these tires.

No one is returning my calls. I feel like I am most certainly being ripped off and treated like shit.

That's the right thing to do IMO. I think your SA is low on substance and not entirely up front. I would def call your insurance adjuster. Maybe phrase it as - look I have comprehensive insurance. The car came back from dealership with thing not addressed + all this new damage. Have him come to your place to see the car. If insurance has to pay out for these damages for which they have already paid up + new damages caused while trying to fix old damages, they will most certainly go after dealership's butt with their own lawyers. However, this will not address the issue of someone taking your car for a joyride (burnt rubber + additional mileage). For that you will almost certainly need to lawyer up and sue the dealership for damages and unauthorized use of the vehicle. I think an amicable outcome will be for dealership to put a new set of Michelin PSS and replace all the damaged parts. I would take a hard stance with the dealership so they know you are dead serious about getting things right.

Is Princeton BMW part of any chain?

Sorry this happened. Why dealer for bodywork?

Dealer = sales and service

Qualified body shop = body work

This is my opinion of course.

Hope car is fixed ASAP to your approval.

Part of the Asbury motor group. I called them today and will call insurance tomorrow.

It may have been smarter to do that now that I look back at it. Next time I will send it to a good body shop. They had mobile painters come to the dealership. MOBILE!? I insisted they either allow Circle BMW repaint the car or send it to the body shop of my choice.

So I put my detective hat on and found out the actual amount of excess miles. My SA says he logged exactly 2 miles. But according to my Dash cam, Google Maps, and the car odometer there are 10 miles unaccounted for.

Doesn't the dealer have cameras? Can you press some kind of criminal charge for someone taking your car on a 10 mile joyride?

Would that be a criminal offense? No, the dealer apparently does NOT have cameras.
