Question about a purchase
Hello all,
I'm in the market for a 2013 M5. I'm coming from a 645CI. I've narrowed it down to two cars. 1. Blue with white interior. All options except DVD. Has two claims of 7000$ (one claim a year after purchase and one right before lease return). 44000km, $65000 2. Singapore Grey, fully loaded with DVD (don't need it but nice to have with two kids). 60000km for $61900. Two rims are curbed to shit but dealer said he will either replace or refinish (my choice). I love the blue colour, but also second choice love the grey. Can't get my head around the claims. What would you do? Some people say 7000$ is nothing for the M5. Thoughts? I'm in Canada btw. |

Agreed.
Any claim on CarFax (or the like) really hurt the values of these cars. Additionally, one really doesn't know the actual extent of the damages. I'd keep looking for a car with a cleaner history. There are plenty out there.

I just picked up a 2013 CPO Blue w/Black Leather with Executive Package, Driver Assistance, and the nicer wheels with 31K miles for $59K USD. It had no claims and was nearly flawless. There was one scratch on the door which the dealer is having fixed this week.
I was lucky enough to find one at my local dealer that fit what I wanted, but having looked online, there are plenty of CPO M5's out there. |
