It is a bmw soundtrack that makes exhaust noise inside your car. A lot of people disable it via coding or removibg the module in the trunk.

Even with it disabled the drone of a muffler delete will get to you.

Go with Eisenmann...sounds beautiful

OP if you liked the idea of muffler deletes I'd recommend this thread:

I did the same but with HFC to avoid the smell that comes downpipes, extremely happy with sound and extra power. I spent 675 for muffler delete and resonated x pipe at local muffler shop. HFC got them used off a member here for 1300.

Just wanted to mention, I have the M-perf exhaust on my 2016 CP M5 and while it sounds very growly and mean, it does not have burples or pops. I haven't noticed any drone either. I'm very happy with the exhaust sound with the M-perf but I'm betting it by itself would not satisfy you...

Oops, didn't realize this was such an old thread.

I've been thinking about muffler deletes as well; maybe consider the fabspeed setup, seems they were able to minimize drone. I've also been considering some HFC downpipes, and just leaving the stock Comp pack exhaust as is.
