concensus regarding brake pad replacement
Please post when you got informed by the car info system to have brake pads replaced. I want to get a general concensus regarding mileage. For me, I now just hit the 5850 miles when I got the info on the display to drive carefully and have the brake pads replaced. Also the "brake" light on the front display panel is lit.
Is it fine to ignore it for now but drive carefully as am planning to take a trip to Boston this weekend or would it be more prudent to just take another car and have the car serviced asap. I would appreciate any comment.

You're the first one this forum I have seen posting the brake pad warning replacement, esp. with that kind of mileage.
Just for reference, when I had the f10 550, I got this kind of message (infrequently) and the dealer told me to ignore |

Have you tracked your car multiple times? Do you brake 10/10 often?
If not, seems like possibly a sensor malfunction at that mileage.
