Did you drive the GC? My bud has one; beautiful car, but really a very different animal than the M5. Seems bigger, but much smaller inside...lower ride, etc.

Not saying any of this is bad, just different.

PS. He has Amaro Brown too.. interior is VERY nice.

Both cars feel heavy, I think... M6 feels BIGGER. Hard to explain (and it is actually bigger in dimensions I believe).

Let me say this though, the interior is a giant step above my M5. The interior of the doors, the overall design.. just excellent. Then, add the individual leather, etc... Perfection.

One of my best friends has the GC. We go to all the shows and rallies together. His car is longer but lower and much smaller inside. Its low and wide and sexy as hell. Lacks a sunroof and lacks a lot of headroom. I was actually thinking of the switch myself simply based on the looks!

Garage List
2016 BMW X5M  [0.00]
2013 BMW M5  [9.00]
2012 BMW X3  [9.00]
2013 Ford F150 FX4  [10.00]
I think M5 is a perfect size for family sedan, 6 is just smaller inside if you are carrying more ppl in the future, but both are beatiful cars.

Not for nothing but there are more fully loaded M6 Gran Coupes with Comp Pack and Carbon Brakes on the market right now, than similarly equipped M5's and M6 Coupes combined.

M6 Gran Coupe is a sexy car, but I love the sunroof and power close trunk too much to trade for one. Not to mention the price difference. The M6 Gran Couoe just isn't a bargain, either new or used, that's my biggest problem with it. Plus I like the front seats in the M5 much better than the M6. I hope the next M6 will get much cooler looking front seats.

I also forgot about that part! The M5 seats are probably some of the sexiest on the market....the M6 is meh..

Interesting, my dealer had both in the showroom and I sat in them back to back. They were different, but I did not get the sense the M6GC interior was superior. Both had full leather. I like the car, but not at such a cost over the M5, that was the deal breaker.

If i wasn't such a m5 whore I would trade long time ago. M5 has a history behind the badge and it's an icon in saloon motorsport market.

The thing is, is that there are a lot more M6 Gran Coupes out there with Individual Interiors and contrast stitching than M5's. Also the leather headliner in the Gran Coupe is sexy as hell.

Case is point.

Yeah, you may be right about the individual leather. I know 20+K more means you're paying for something. The car just didn't hit my buttons like the M5 and I never felt like the interior was lesser quality in the M5 after the M6GC.
