Throttle response..?

What's the best way to increase the throttle response to be more crisp and react quicker? BMS?

If your in comfort its slow but if you bump the engine dynamic setting up to sports or sports plus the car reacts right away in my experience. I drive with sports plus engine dynamic, drive logic set on 2, Sport EDC & servotronic .

Hope this helps.

Agreed. Sport Plus gives much improved throttle response, though it still feels like there's a touch of lag when you punch it, at least when compared to the former generation of M cars (I owned a couple E90 M3's before the F10). It sounds backwards, but I think Sport Plus also makes the car easier to drive in traffic during my commute. When you're sitting at a red light in Economy mode, there is noticeable lag in the car's response when you first press the gas pedal when the light turns green. That lag causes you to push the throttle further and further, without much effect. Then, at about 2,000 rpm, the afterburner lights up and you 'whoosh' across the intersection looking like 'just another jerk in a BMW'. I hated it, but when I went to Sport Plus, the heightened throttle response made me less likely to keep pushing the throttle further, allowing me to accelerate across the intersection more smoothly. Go figure.

To add what has been mentioned, after properly warmed up, Sport plus throttle setting is pretty brisk for me (especially if shifting manually). Someone can chime in, but I believe the M5 has some user-dependent adaptability to it. I'm not certain if the adaptation applies to all settings, however you might try driving very aggressively on the aforementioned settings, and check the difference.

Remove charcoal filters first.
Next buy downpipes and delete cats from exhaust. You'll notice a significant spike in throttle response with DPs.

BMS, especially for the money, is a great mod, but it affects boost and won't be noticed until 5k RPM or so.

If you want to increase your throttle response purchase this

www.sprintboostersales.com

It works perfect. I have installed these into so many vehicles.
It has 3 levels to adjust from the controller.
It seriously works !!! Half the time I have to keep it on the 2nd level because the 3rd is very very sensitive and I chirp tires all the time

Use to have one on my 996 Tt they do work, but it's it redundant on the ///m because of our engine dynamic setting ?

Sport+ , S3 shift mode -- I don't see any lag at all with throttle response. Nice and crisp.
She goes when I need her to go, no lag!

If you drive around 405 and Jamboree area (Michelson side and Main side), if you see any huge long black tire marks going sideways, squiggly, etc -- its probably me

lol.... so if you pass (by any chance) 133, make a turn on lake forest then stop by the second traffic light and make a left turn on bake... there are bunch of tires marks on the street... that's the power of M6

It will work on F series M cars. It is seriously night and day difference.
E60 M cars it works amazing too.
E90 M cars it doesn't really work that well.

I second the SprintBooster; had one on my E60 and it did make a difference. They have them for the F10?

Yes they do. They list it under the year range of the vehicle.
