Where to Mount Escort 9500ci in M5

Want to see where folks installed the display and control modules in their M5's. My dealer put mine in a place I cannot see.

So, Pat... Can you list exactly the products you purchased and the costs?

It looks GREAT! But I know literally nothing about radars, jammers, etc...

That looks great and is the setup I'm getting. Do you use EL? If so, where and how do you mount your phone?

Had my display mounted above the mirror close to the roof and the controls mounted to the right of the steering wheel. I will post pics when I get my car back later today.

FWIW, I had Custom Car Stereo do my install and am pretty pleased with it.

It was included with the labor for the install.

I have the manual and the same setup in the mirror I paid more for the mirror with the red display vs blue to match more the interior and with the manual it was put in the cigarette space in front of the gear shift. I believe inc the mirror and install 2 years back was $2500 saved at least 4 expensive tickets. So good return on investment.

I recently came back form a trip to Florida and this saved me from getting at least 3 tickets.

The only failure I had was travelling upto the formula one in Canada. I split the trip in 2 parts. 1 NJ to 20 miles south night driving the device spotted all hidden card in the middle with their lights off and radars on. Next morning 10 miles from the boarder I was coasting (80mph) as I was not in a hurry it was 8am. Saturday no one on the road. Radar went off at the same time as a state trooper passing on the other lane 80 ft apart appears. In slow motion I look over he looks back and I knew he was going to pick up his first bite of the day. I coast about 70 mph for what seemed like 5 minutes until he catches up.

Long story short I got s ticket for parking on a freeway. I guess it can not detect through dense trees. But other than that worked impeccably.

Was it K band? Escort's K band detection is pretty poor. With the Bel version it gets better if you segment kA band because it gives you more scanning time for K.

I'm not sure there were trees in the middle and it was quite wide distance between the 2 directions. I just assumed it was the evergreen trees soaking up the signal. The irony the office was called officer Pain. I suppose I appreciate not getting a moving violation.
