Athens Highway is in Brunswick tomorrow. Then 3-7 days to build a trucking load that is delivered directly to your dealership. End of next week is a very accurate estimate as long as the cars are released on time.

Wishful Thinking. Mine has been at the port since July 25th. Unless EPA releases the cars this week...

This may have already been discussed somewhere else, but just a thought here...

Let's say you ordered one of the frozen colors.
And let's say that you are wanting to see the strict 'clean up the bird poop quickly' stance from BMW applied to the use and care of the frozen paint.

Now, your car is at port, the sea gulls aren't necessarily out to get you, but for the sake of argument let's say that they have at least 'eaten well' and your car needs to sit there for some time.

Did BMW include a trunk monkey to hop out and clean it?

My CA indicated that mine is done at the VPC and awaiting transport to St. Louis. It arrived in Baltimore this week. I questioned the release date and he said that info does not shown up in their system.

My understanding was that the trunk monkey was included in the Executive Package. Can anyone confirm?

It isn't in their system.. They get the information when they cAll the port... Dealer told me My car (would assume all other M5s at the jersey port are the same) is suppose to be released on Monday

Wait a minute; he's drowning puppies now??

This madness has got to stop!!
I don't like dogs since people in Miami aren't very diligent about cleaning up dog litter so that's a plus for Obama IMO. (I know it's a joke).

Funny story: last year I was out for dinner with the girlfriend and on the way back to the car I accidentally stepped in some dog litter. It was dark so obviously I couldn't see it.

Anyway this shit stank terribly. Since I didn't want to introduce the smell to the brand new interior of my 550, I just removed my slip on Cole Haan loafers and left them by the side of the road and drove home in my socks.

BMW slated the 9/1 launch. I'm sure the EPA is working on that timeframe/deadline, not ours....

Every day that goes by this month without the release, I am betting that BMW will wait until 9/1 to release the U.S. Delivery cars in concurrence with the Euro Deliveries starting that day too.

Those dealership are going to be busy on 9/1. I wonder how they will prioritize their deliveries for the dealerships that have a lot of M5's to prep.

I don't understand why no one knows the EPA and/or official release date. Is it supposed to be a secret or just poor communication between BMW and the dealers?

I don't think any dealer got more than 4 or 5 cars allocated from the first production batch. I know my dealer only got 2 and they are a decent sized dealership.

I'm curious if anyone heard about their dealer having a higher allocation than 4?

It seems ludicrous, but could it just be delayed due to August vacation schedules at the EPA?!?! I mean, we are talking about the US government which we all know is not the best run organization in the world!!
